Information session on COST
The FCT will hold an information and clarification session on COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) on October 31, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the FCiências.ID Auditorium (Building C1, 3rd Floor), at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
The session is free to attend, and FCT invites the entire national scientific community to participate by registering here. The session will be streamed live.
COST's mission is to support the creation of transnational cooperation networks between researchers, engineers, and academics across Europe, so that they can freely, openly, and jointly develop their ideas and initiatives. These networks, known as COST Actions, enable advances in the development of scientific knowledge, contributing to the strengthening of Europe as a leader in R&D. Created in 1971, COST currently has 36 member countries and one cooperating country.
Portugal is a success story in COST: currently, more than 1,000 national researchers benefit directly from activities funded by the cooperation network, participating in more than 95% of active COST Actions.
