Public Debate Sessions on the Science and Technology System, Higher Education, and Scientific Employment

The FCT, in collaboration with the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Higher Education (MCTES), is organizing a series of debates on the S&T system, higher education, and scientific employment. These sessions are open to all researchers from public and private institutions and to all higher education teachers and researchers.

The meetings will be attended by the Minister of Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor, the Secretary of State for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Fernanda Rollo, and members of the FCT Governing Board. The topics under discussion will be addressed in the context of preparing for the institutional evaluation processes to be launched in 2017 by the FCT and the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES).

The meeting agenda will focus on public debate of the following documents:
On the evolution of the organization of the science and technology system and higher education: building the future, believing in knowledge
Stimulating scientific employment – Plan for implementation and execution
