Study & Research in Portugal, “Country of Knowledge, space of Innovation”

Portugal's commitment to knowledge, creativity and innovation broadens its horizons with the launch of Study & Research in Portugal – “Portugal, Country of Knowledge, Space for Innovation”, a new platform for the internationalisation of higher education, science and technology, dedicated to foreign students and researchers, companies and science and technology institutions.

In Portugal, higher education and the science and technology system have undergone an unprecedented process of internationalization in recent decades, both in terms of the mobility of foreign students and researchers, and in terms of scientific production and activity and the translation of knowledge to international reference networks, such as the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory, the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire (CERN). The Study and Research in Portugal Portal is a fundamental instrument for the promotion and internationalization of the country in areas such as scientific diplomacy, tourism, mobility, economy, heritage, language and culture.

Study and Research in Portugal has a promotional video and a Portal with additional information, which will be progressively enriched. The initiative is promoted by the government's science, technology and higher education department, in conjunction with the Directorate-General for Higher Education, the Foundation for Science and Technology and the Secretariat of State for Tourism and Tourism of Portugal.
