“Summer with Science 2022” opens application period

Applications for the special support program “Summer with Science 2022, ” promoted by FCT, are open from May 16 to June 16, 2022. In previous editions, this support enabled the funding Studentships 1,175 research Studentships in 2020 and 418 research Studentships in 2021. A budget allocation of €500,000 is planned for this year's edition.

In addition to encouraging the development of "Summer Schools" at polytechnics and universities across the country, "Summer with Science 2022" seeks to support scientific and technological research activities in R&D units, with a view to enhancing scientific and technological capacity and its relationship with higher education and society. It also aims to promote the dissemination and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge among higher education students, with the funding of Studentships research Studentships for face-to-face scientific research activities.

This support is intended for R&D units that obtained a rating of Good, Very Good, or Excellent from the FCT in the 2017-2018 R&D Unit evaluation process, with the submission of proposals limited to one application per R&D unit.
