Draft Amendment to the Regulation on the Evaluation and Multi-Year Financing of R&D Units

Pursuant to Articles 99 and 101 of the Administrative Procedure Code, the FCT Governing Board submits for public consultation the proposed amendment to the Regulation on the Evaluation and Multi-annual Funding of FCT Research and Development Units, Regulation No. 404/2022, amended by Regulation No. 789/2023, published in the Official Gazette, 2nd series, No. 140, of July 20, 2023.

Articles 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 of Regulation No. 404/2022, amended by Regulation No. 789/2023, published in the Official Gazette, 2nd series, No. 140, of July 20, 2023.

This amendment to the Regulation on the evaluation and multiannual funding of R&D units introduces weighting factors for the purposes of calculating base funding and eligibility criteria, which take into account the acceptable levels of permeability between teaching and research activities, as well as laboratory intensity, which is determined according to the type of infrastructure and equipment that the units allocate to R&D.
