Final session "The Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development"

SDG event

FCT will hold the final session of the "Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development" event on January 17 at the D. Pedro IV Auditorium in Lisbon, after the sessions scheduled for December 13 and 14, 2022, were postponed due to adverse weather conditions. The first session, held on December 12, 2022, is already available for viewing.

This session will feature the participation of researchers whose work plans are closely related to various relevant issues in the context of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Admission is free and requires prior registration. See the program.

This event aims to bring together researchers with projects that address relevant issues in the context of the 17 SDGs, in order to promote the transfer of knowledge to society and the creation of new partnerships and consortia with a view to developing the SDGs themselves.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda is an action plan with the aim of eradicating poverty and promoting sustainable development, involving and holding all states and other stakeholders accountable for its implementation. It is a universal agenda, based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets, which presupposes the integration of these SDGs into the policies, processes and actions developed at national, regional and global levels.
