Final session: “The Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development”

SDG Event

FCT will hold the final session of the event "Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development" on January 17, at the D. Pedro IV Auditorium in Lisbon, after postponing the sessions scheduled for December 13 and 14, 2022, due to adverse weather conditions. The first session, held on December 12, 2022, is now available for viewing.

This session will feature researchers whose work plans are closely related to various issues relevant to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Admission is free and requires prior registration. See the program.

This event aims to bring together researchers with projects that address issues relevant to the 17 SDGs, with the aim of promoting knowledge transfer to society and creating new partnerships and consortia with a view to developing the SDGs themselves.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda is an action plan aimed at eradicating poverty and promoting sustainable development, involving and holding all States and other stakeholders accountable for its implementation. It is a universal agenda, based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets, which requires the integration of these SDGs into policies, processes, and actions developed at the national, regional, and global levels.
