Final Session "Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development

SDG Event

FCT will hold the final session of the event "Contribution of Science to Sustainable Development" on January 17, at the D. Pedro IV Auditorium in Lisbon, after the postponement of the sessions scheduled for December 13 and 14, 2022, due to adverse weather conditions. The first session, held on December 12, 2022, is already available for viewing.

This session will include the participation of researchers whose work plans are closely related to various relevant issues in the context of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. Admission is free and requires prior registration. See the program.

This event aims to bring together researchers with projects that address the relevant issues in the context of the 17 SDGs, in order to enhance the transfer of knowledge to society and the creation of new partnerships and consortiums with a view to developing the SDGs themselves.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda is a plan of action to eradicate poverty and promote sustainable development, involving and holding all States and other stakeholders accountable in its implementation. It is a universal agenda, based on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 169 targets, which presupposes the integration of these SDGs in policies, processes and actions developed at national, regional and global levels.
