Winners of the Arquivo.pt Prize to be announced at the Science 2024 Meeting

The application period for the Arquivo.pt Award, the digital service of the Foundation for Science and Technology, developed through the FCCN, has ended.

There were 27 entries for the annual award, which honors research using information preserved on Arquivo.pt. Among the applications, 17 are in the form of mobile applications, six are studies and there are also videos or video models. The themes of the proposals range from Social, Human and Political Sciences to Technology and Natural Sciences, among other topics.

The first prize-winner will receive €10,000, the second prize-winner €3,000 and the third best entry €2,000. The jury will also choose the winners of the honorable mentions at Call. Among the works proposed, 11 are candidates for the honorable mention from the Público newspaper and another 11 for the AMCC - Aveiro Media Competence Center Honorable Mention. Six are also up for the .PT Honorable Mention.

The winners will be announced at the Science 2024 Meeting, which will take place from July 3 to 5 at the Alfândega do Porto Congress Center and will have the motto "+Science for One Health and global well-being".

In the Arquivo.pt 2025 Award, to continue the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25, a special mention will be included for works on the theme "April 25 and Democracy". With this novelty, any researchers and interested citizens are now challenged to create innovative works using Arquivo.pt.
