4th Call of the European THCS Partnership under the theme "Access to Healthcare"

The European Partnership THCS – Transforming Health and Care Systems has launched its 4th Joint Call for funding transnational Research and Innovation projects. Pre-proposals may be submitted until 1:00 p.m. (Mainland Portugal time) on February 2, 2026.

This Call, with the theme "Access to Healthcare," involves 33 European and international funding agencies, including the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Applications must be evidence-based, create innovative solutions, and integrate digital care that contributes to expanding access to healthcare and reducing inequalities. The approach should include targeted interventions, appropriate policies, and interdisciplinary co-creation with stakeholders.

Co-funded under Horizon Europe, THCS aims to coordinate and optimize research and innovation (R&I) efforts in Europe and its partner countries to support the transformation of health systems.

This partnership brings together 66 partners from 27 member states, associated countries, and third countries, with the support of the European Commission. Portugal is represented by FCT, the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), and the Regional Coordination and Development Commission of the Center (CCDRC).
