The cycle "Archives of Knowledge: Science, History and Memory", organized by the FCT, has been running since February this year, with the aim of disseminating the documentary collection of its Science and Technology Archive, as well as others relevant to the history and memory of Science and Technology in Portugal. The sessions are short and take place in an informal, sharing atmosphere. For more information on this initiative, or to view the sessions that have already taken place, see the page dedicated to the event.

The Science and Technology Archive (ACT) is unique in the history of scientific activity in Portugal, with the task of preserving and managing the documentary memory of national scientific production, translated into thousands of support processes for Studentships, institutions and research projects. Open to the public since December 16, 2011, it has a significant collection of documents that includes, in addition to the FCT's own archive from 1997 onwards, the collection of the National Board for Scientific and Technological Research (JNICT), from 1967 to 1997, and other public and private bodies, essentially in the area of science policies and funding in Portugal.
