Open to the public since December 16, 2011, it has a significant documentary collection that includes, in addition to the FCT's own archive from 1997 onwards, the collection of the National Board for Scientific and Technological Research (JNICT) from 1967 to 1997, and other public and private bodies, mainly in the area of science policy and funding in Portugal.
