7th edition of the Promove 2025 Program

The application period for the 7th edition of the Promove Program is now open and runs until January 29, 2025. This Call is designed to support projects and ideas that contribute to the sustainable development of Portugal's inland regions and is a program of the "la Caixa" Foundation, in partnership with FCT and in collaboration with BPI.

The Promove Programme, which aims to support highly innovative initiatives that contribute to the development and enhancement of inland regions, targets areas such as the efficient management of natural resources, the creation of new poles of specialization and the attraction of tourism and new residents. It focuses on research projects in the fields of thermal waters, parks and nature reserves, studies into biological risks and the promotion of new crops and natural products.

In six editions, the Promove Programme has mobilized more than 17 million euros in non-repayable support, benefiting 99 projects and 47 innovative ideas. Of this amount, more than five million were secured by the FCT under a "matching funds" agreement, through which, since 2021, the FCT has added its contribution to that of the "la Caixa" Foundation.
