Call for applications for the Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence of ITU, ODET, and UNESCO now open

The call for nominations for the Scientific Panel on Artificial Intelligence of ITU, ODET, and UNESCO, established by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 79/325, is open until October 31, 2025.

To ensure eligibility for this first global scientific body entirely dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, experts must complete and submit the application form available at www.un.org/independent-international-scientific-panel-ai, also sending their CV to aiscientificpanel@un.org.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations will recommend, for appointment by the General Assembly, a list of 40 members for this Panel. Experts will be selected based on their experience in artificial intelligence and related fields, from an interdisciplinary perspective and in accordance with geographical and gender balance.
