Science, innovation, and ideas that help us envision the future are at the heart of “Great Ideas,” the new podcast from the Agency for Research and Innovation (AI²), whose first episode will be released on November 5.

The podcast, which is released weekly, is hosted by João Barros, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AI², and brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, public policymakers, and other prominent figures with relevant backgrounds and experiences in the fields of science, innovation, and society.

In each episode, guests are challenged to share four big ideas: one idea about their field of expertise, another about the work or project they’re developing, an idea for Portugal, and, finally, an idea for the weekend.

It is through these four themes that we build relaxed yet in-depth conversations that bring together knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on the issues shaping the present and the challenges of the future. Beyond professional backgrounds, “Grandes Ideias” also seeks to shed light on the motivations, inspirations, and ambitions of those who are helping to transform Portugal and the world.

Through this initiative, AI² aims to bring science, innovation, and society closer together by promoting the sharing of knowledge and fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a diversity of perspectives.

The first episode will be available starting November 5 on audio and video platforms and on the social media channels of AI² and Ciência Viva.
