Arquivo.pt is a finalist for an international award

The Arquivo.pt tool catalog, a service provided by FCT and developed by FCCN, is a finalist for the international Award for Safeguarding the Digital Legacy, promoted by the Digital Preservation Coalition.

In October 2023, after 15 years of research and development, Arquivo.pt launched a catalog of 13 innovative tools to support the preservation of at-risk online content, from its acquisition to its dissemination (e.g., search and access, APIs, training, open datasets, or exhibitions).

The Arquivo.pt team submitted a second application to the DPC Awards 2024, in the "Award for Research and Innovation" category, with its tool for searching preserved images from the web.

The DPC Awards are an initiative of the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), an international consortium dedicated to promoting digital preservation and best practices, and aim to publicize and promote exemplary and innovative use cases.
