Science 2025 dedicated to "Science, Innovation, and Society"

Ciência 2025 already has a date set. This year, Portugal's largest science and technology event will take place from July 9 to 11, at theNOVA SBE Campus in Carcavelos, with the theme "Science, Innovation, and Society."

It will be a stage for promoting and discussing the scientific, social, cultural, and economic impact of research in Portugal, exploring the intersection between science, innovation, and society, to inspire new ideas and foster transformative collaborations.

Organized bythe Foundation for Science and Technologyand the National Agency for Scientific CultureCIÊNCIA VIVA, in close collaboration withNOVA University Lisbonand with institutional support fromthe Ministry of Education, Science, and Innovation, the event features a diverse program, including more than 50 sessions and around 200 speakers. It aims to reflect the best in science, technology, and innovation in Portugal and internationally, with more than 2,000 participants expected to attend.

In 2025, the guest will be theEuropean Commission, with the presence of high-level representatives in the field of Science and Innovation.

The Science and Technology Exhibition, which takes place in a vast exhibition area, will be attended by various entities from the science and innovation ecosystem. The event will also feature an area for the presentation of scientific e-posters submitted by doctoral students from across the country.
