Clean Energy Transition Partnership

The Call Joint Transnational 2023 of the European co-funded Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP) for funding transnational research and innovation projects opens on 20 September.

CETP aims to empower the transition to clean energy and contribute to achieving the European Union's goal of making Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. This partnership combines national and regional funding for a wide range of technologies and solutions and has a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda until 2030.

The FCT will fund 6 of the 12 topics of the 2nd CETP Call :

  • CM2023-03A (ROA) - Advanced renewable energy technologies for electricity production (TRI2)
  • CM2023-04 - Carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) (TRI3)
  • CM2023-05 Hydrogen and renewable fuels (TRI4)
  • CM2023-06 Heating and cooling technologies (TRI4)
  • CM2023-07 Geothermal energy technologies (TRI5)
  • CM2023-08 Integrated regional energy systems (TRI5)

Pre-proposals can be submitted until 13:00 (Lisbon time) on November 22, 2023.

On 13 September, the international secretariat of the Call will hold a webinar for potential candidates. An agenda for the event is now available.
