Call Advanced Computing Projects
The FCT, through its FCCN Unit, has opened the application period until May 31, 2023, for the last batch of projects under the Call Advanced Computing Projects, for type A0 Experimental Access and type A1 Preparatory Access or Development.
On May 16, at 11:30 a.m., an online session will be held to provide technical support for applications of types A0 and A1, aimed at users with or without experience who wish to apply for this Call. This Call consolidate and strengthen the national technological and scientific system through Advanced Computing resources for Research and Innovation, in collaboration with four operational centers – Minho Advanced Computing Centre (MACC), Advanced Computing Laboratory of the University of Coimbra (LCA-UC), High Performance Computing of the University of Évora (HPC-UÉ), and National Distributed Computing Infrastructure (INCD).
The National Advanced Computing Network (RNCA), managed by FCT, seeks to bring together national advanced computing resources, promoting cooperation between the various centers involved and developing national and international partnerships with other entities.
To date, these Call more than 100 million CPU core-hours or vCPU-hours on RNCA platforms. There are more than 50 scientific publications and 60 Master's or Doctoral theses associated with projects approved under these Calls.
