The ARCHE consortium – Alliance for Research on Cultural Heritage in Europe, funded by Horizon Europe and in which FCT participates, has launched a public consultation on the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Cultural Heritage.

This Agenda aims to define a roadmap of priorities, which will form the basis for Calls projects and other activities within the future European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage, scheduledto begin in 2026.

The European Partnership for Resilient Cultural Heritage is part of a package of ten new partnerships proposed under Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity, and Inclusive Society of Horizon Europe, with the ARCHE consortium responsible for laying the foundations for the future Partnership.

The ARCHE project aims to develop a European framework for a holistic approach to research and innovation in the field of Cultural Heritage, through a European Alliance for Research in Cultural Heritage and the establishment of a coordination network composed of researchers, innovators, heritage professionals, government entities, and citizens. It aims to involve all Cultural Heritage stakeholders in the design of strategies and roadmaps for research and innovation in this area.

The main expected outcome of this project is to identify gaps and needs in research and innovation in the field of Cultural Heritage over the next decade, in order to draw up the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Cultural Heritage (SRIA) on that basis.

Contributions to the design of this document can be submitted until November 15, here.
