Call for expressions of interest for the European Commission's Breast Cancer Initiative

Pink Ribbon

An expression of interest is open to clinical, scientific, and technical experts, as well as patients and/or caregivers, who wish to become members of the new working group of the European Commission Breast Cancer Initiative (ECIBC). The call also has the additional objective of appointing a new vice-chair.

The ECIBC is currently undergoing a transition phase with a view to the future integrated development of European guidelines on breast cancer and the updating of the European quality assurance system for breast cancer services.

The European Commission's Joint Research Center (JRC), in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE), coordinates the ECIBC, which has been dedicated to organized population screening programs and follow-up care since 2015. The main objective of the initiative is to provide accessible, high-quality basic care throughout Europe by developing evidence-based guidelines and a voluntary quality assurance scheme.

Applications can be submitted until August 7, 2024, via this link.

The FCT is responsible for disseminating news and opportunities related to the JRC.
