The Euro-Mediterranean Hub for Research & Innovation (R&I) is a platform that serves as a central hub for networking, data sharing, and policy-making, connecting Euro-Med researchers, decision-makers, and funders.

Following Portugal's involvement, through the FCT, in the 5+5 Dialogue initiatives on Research, Innovation, and Higher Education, in the Union for the Mediterranean's R&I agenda, and in the PRIMA partnership, the Euro-Mediterranean Hub for Research & Innovation, promoted by the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), has established itself as a natural meeting point for the national scientific community.

It is a collaborative platform that brings together researchers, policymakers, and funding bodies from across the Euro-Mediterranean region with the aim of strengthening scientific and technological cooperation. It seeks to promote knowledge sharing, create synergies, and develop research and innovation policies geared towards common challenges—from sustainability to health, including the digital transition.

Portugal's participation in this hub represents a strategic opportunity to integrate international networks, strengthen existing networks, promote applications, closely monitor key regional initiatives, and actively contribute to building a cohesive and dynamic Euro-Mediterranean scientific agenda.
