EEA Grants Portugal Hosts Information Sessions

Through the end of October, the EEA Grants will be holding a community roadshow that will tour various regions of the country. The goal is to publicize the priorities, funding streams, and opportunities of the new 2021–2028 Financial Mechanism, which has an overall allocation of 126.3 million euros for Portugal.

The National EEA Grants Management Unit, in partnership with the Program Operators, including FCT, will host decentralized informational sessions featuring experts and representatives from the EEA Grants to raise awareness about the new funding made available by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway for the areas of Blue Growth, Green Transition, Domestic and Gender-Based Violence, and Culture.

This roadshow is aimed at local governments, higher education and research institutions, companies, civil society organizations, entities in the cultural sector, and other potential project promoters and partners with an interest in the areas covered by the EEA Grants.

Participation in the sessions is free, subject to prior registration. The sessions begin on September 30 in the North. They will continue in the Autonomous Regions of the Azores (October 8) and Madeira (October 15), Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (October 23), Alentejo (October 28), and the Algarve (October 29).
