Science Meeting 2024: the balance sheet

The Science 2024 Meeting ended last Friday, the 5th, and the outcome is very positive.

In the Alfândega do Porto building, a network of lively spaces was constructed, ready to welcome the 3,230 participants registered for what is the main gathering of the scientific community in our country. Under the motto "+Science for One Health and global well-being," the Meeting aimed to raise awareness and promote today's science for the future of global health and well-being that we want tomorrow.

At our Science and Technology Exhibition, 1,021 scientific e-posters were received and displayed in a space that also hosted 38 entities, including CoLAB, Technology and Interface Centers, and Associate Laboratories. These were encouraging figures for what was the second decentralized edition of the Science Meeting. There were also plenary sessions at the beginning and end of each day, which were always very well attended, and more than 40 thematic sessions.

There were three days of (re)encounters, debates, and discussions in a wide range of scientific fields. We shared results, knowledge, and experiences. Science Meeting: an event by everyone, for everyone.
