Final event of the "Science meets Regions" project
Science meets Regions, implemented by the Joint Research Center (JRC), will hold the project's closing event on September 27 and 28 in Brussels. The initiative is open to all interested parties, researchers, or decision-makers with an interest in the role of science in policy-making. Registration closes on September 21 at 9:00 p.m. (CEST).
The event aims to bring participants together to take stock of the project and reflect on the way forward. Other initiatives related to "Science meets Regions" will also be discussed. This project aims to promote evidence-informed policy-making at the local and regional levels through a range of instruments, including: innovation fields and participatory processes; scientific studies; mechanisms for bringing together researchers and policy-makers; and skills training for policy-makers.
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is a research organization serving the European Commission, whose mission is to provide independent technical and scientific support. National participation in the Joint Research Centre is monitored by the FCT, within the scope of the PERIN network.
