The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA) are promoting twowebinars, on December 5 and 12, 2025, to present the BSC AI Factory: services, use cases, and application process.

The BSC AI Factory, located at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), is part of the European network of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Factories, co-financed by EuroHPC JU, offering specialized computing and services and technical support to develop and validate reliable AI in innovation and business contexts. In Portugal, the FCT, together with the CNCA, coordinates national participation in this initiative, promoting opportunities forstartups, SMEs, and public administration.

To present these resources to the national community, FCCN, FCT's digital services unit, and CNCA are organizing two informationalwebinarsthat will describe the infrastructure and service catalog, explain the access routes and application criteria, and share use cases already in progress, with time for questions and answers.

Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration:

  • December 5 – Session for Startups and SMEs | 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Registration
  • December 12 – Session for Public Administration | 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Registration

The Program can be viewed here.

This initiative reinforces the alignment of the FCT with European initiatives, facilitating access to specialized infrastructure and services by public and private entities.
