FCT has updated the value of Research Studentships

The FCT has updated the value of all research Studentships covered by the Research Studentships Regulation. The decision takes effect on January 1, 2023.

The evolution of the monthly maintenance allowances for all Studentships is determined annually by the FCT Board of Directors, taking into account the evolution of the minimum wage for each year. For 2023, the value of the minimum wage has been set at 760 euros, corresponding to an increase of 55 euros compared to the amount in force in 2022. Thus, at its meeting on January 19, 2023, the FCT Board of Directors decided to set the increase in Studentships to coincide with the nominal increase in the minimum wage, and also determined that it would apply to all scholarship holders covered by the types of Studentships provided for in previous regulations, whose Studentships are still underway.
