FCT updated the value of Studentships Research

FCT has updated the value of all research Studentships covered by the Research Studentships Regulation. The decision takes effect from 1 January 2023.

The evolution of the value of the monthly maintenance allowances of all Studentships is determined annually by the FCT Board of Directors, considering the evolution of the minimum wage for each year. For 2023, the value of the minimum wage was set at 760 euros, corresponding to an increase of 55 euros over the amount in effect in 2022. Thus, the FCT Board of Directors, in a meeting held on 19 January 2023, decided to set the increase of Studentships to coincide with the nominal increase of the minimum wage, having also determined its application to all grant recipients covered by the types of Studentships provided for in previous regulations, whose Studentships are still in execution.
