FCT co-organizes the fourth edition of the Workshop on Human Biomonitoring in Portugal (4th HBM-PT), which will take place on April 19 at the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA) in Lisbon, in a hybrid format.

Under the theme "Human Biomonitoring for a better protection of citizens' health against chemical risks,"the event's main objective is to discuss and share the state of the art in human biomonitoring, environmental and health studies, and chemical risk assessment in Portugal and Europe.

The 4th HBM-PT is organized by the Portuguese National Hub for Human Biomonitoring, formed as part of the joint European project HBM4EU (European Human Biomonitoring Initiative) and now extended to members of theEuropean Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals(PARC), which, in addition to FCT, includes INSA, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), the Portuguese Environment Agency, I.P. (APA), the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL), the National School of Public Health of the New University of Lisbon (ENSP), the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, the University of Aveiro, the University of Coimbra, the University of Minho, and the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB).

Participation in the event (in person or online) is free, but registration is required. Abstracts for poster presentations or oral communications may be submitted until March 28, here.
