FCT co-organizes the event “Rare diseases: patient involvement in driving change”
The FCT is co-organizing the event "Rare diseases: patient involvement in bringing about change," which will take place on February 29 (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) at the Lisbon and Porto facilities of the National Institute of Health Dr. Ricardo Jorge (INSA). This event aims to raise awareness of rare diseases and highlight the work being done in this area, thus marking Rare Disease Day. It also aims to promote debate on rare diseases in Portugal, disseminate different views on the subject, and discuss its current and future context.
The FCT, as part of the National Mirror Group (NMG) ofthe European Joint Program on Rare Diseases, is co-organizing the event with INSA (NMG coordinator), the Association for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), Orphanet, and the Union of Rare Disease Associations of Portugal – RD Portugal.
In-person registration for this event is now closed, but it will be broadcast online via Zoom, so those interested can registerhere until 12 noon on February 28.
