FCT makes the José de Melo Torres Campos Archive available to the public

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of April 25th, the FCT has made the José de Melo Torres Campos Archive available for consultation through its Science and Technology Archive(ACT). This archive contains pre- and post-April Revolution documentation essentially related to industrial development and the business reality of the time.

Torres Campos' biography and Register of Archival Authority allow us to find out more about the man who left behind, for collective memory, documentation that represents the years leading up to the April Revolution and the first years of democratic Portugal.

This archive was organized by José Melo Torres Campos as part of his professional activity. José de Melo Torres Campos held various public positions related to Portuguese industrial production, especially in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. The documents preserved bear witness to the national business reality in these decades

The archive is available to anyone who wishes to study this period of history and/or wants to know more about the national industry.
