FCT obtains Silver Seal for Usability and Accessibility
The FCT website has been awarded the Silver Seal of Usability and Accessibility, demonstrating its commitment to the continuous improvement of its institutional website.
The Usability and Accessibility Seal identifies and promotes the application of best practices on websites and mobile applications. The initiative, developed by the Agency for Administrative Modernization and the National Institute for Rehabilitation, aims to simplify and make the use of online public services more efficient for all citizens, regardless of their sensory, motor, or cognitive abilities.
The Usability and Accessibility Seal is intended for anywebsiteor mobile application, but was designed primarily for entities subject to the National Digital Interoperability Regulation (RNID), which regulates open standards in government IT systems.
Portugal is one of the countries in the world with the highest number of online public services, and increasing the use of these services by citizens is an ongoing goal. The Usability and Accessibility Seal contributes to this by promoting improvement, simplification, and making the use of online public services more efficient for citizens, especially those with disabilities or impairments.
