FCT organizes online session on MSCA Staff Exchanges, ERA Talents, and Twinning
FCT will hold an information session dedicated to various Horizon Europe instruments for funding the creation of collaborative networks and mobility actions, focusing on three important funding mechanisms: Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Staff Exchanges (Call until February 4, 2025), ERA Talents, and Twinning. The highlight of this session will be Call MSCA Staff Exchanges Call .
These three funding instruments have similar objectives, aiming to strengthen institutions through the circulation of researchers (and other research personnel) and the creation of international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral networks. However, each has its own objectives and specific requirements for the composition of consortia. This session aims to provide an overview of these funding opportunities, which are relevant to the national scientific community.
MSCA Staff Exchanges fund short stays (between 1 and 12 months) at institutions in other countries, promoting interdisciplinary mobility and mobility between the academic and non-academic sectors. ERA Talents has several similarities with MSCA Staff Exchange in terms of intersectoral mobility, but focuses on Widening countries (such as Portugal). Twinning aims to empower an institution in a Widening country in a given scientific area through collaboration with at least two leading European research institutions.
The online information session took place on October 17 and is available for viewing here.
2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the European Union Framework Program, the largest instrument for promoting European research, development, and innovation, and a beacon for international scientific cooperation.
