FCT promotes 4 sessions in the scope of ERC and Widening

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) will promote a set of sessions, within the PERIN network, to present the timetables of the Calls of the Work Programme 2023-2024 of the Pillar of Scientific Excellence (European Research Council, Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions, Research Infrastructures) and WIDERA(Widening & ERA), as well as the respective funding opportunities and instruments.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the 2024 European Research Council Work Program (including the Calls that have a submission deadline in the year 2023) and the Widening Calls that will have a submission deadline in September 2023 (Twinning, ERA Fellowships, HOP ON, Pathways to Synergies).

Dates and times of the sessions, including the link for registration:

• 12 May, 10:00 AM, GENERAL SESSION (Pillar I and WIDERA)
• 23 May, 10:00 AM, WIDENING SESSION (TWINNING, ERA FELLOWSHIPS, HOP ON, PATHWAYS TO SYNERGIES)
• 31 May, 10:00 AM, ERC SESSION (STARTING and CONSOLIDATOR)
• 1 June, 10:00 AM, WIDENING SESSION (TWINNING, for proposals in preparation)

The sessions have an informative objective, in addition to fostering participation in these Calls and raising their success rates. To meet this objective, further sessions will also be organised for those who are in the proposal writing phase.

FCT, within the PERIN network, is responsible for monitoring the participation of the scientific community in Pillar I and WIDERA of Horizon Europe.
