FCT will once again be present at the European Researchers' Night, which will take place on September 30th (Friday). The initiative returns this year to its usual format, indoors and outdoors, after two years of absence due to the pandemic situation, showing the diversity of science and its impact on citizens' daily lives in a fun and inspiring way.

This year, 25 countries joined the European Researchers' Night. In Portugal it will take place in parallel in the cities of Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra and Évora. In Lisbon, the activities of this event will be distributed among the National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC), the Lisbon Botanical Garden and the Príncipe Real Garden. The FCT will be present at a stand located in the cloisters of the MUHNAC, where visitors will be able to learn about the activities developed by the FCT, as well as the services provided to society and the scientific community. This exhibition will be open from 5 pm until midnight.

The European Researchers' Night (ERN) is an initiative funded by the European Commission, under the Horizon 2020 program, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), which aims to bring researchers and citizens closer together.
