1st Meeting of Science Funding Agencies and Similar Structures from CPLP Member States

The 1st Meeting of Science Funding Agencies and Similar Structures of the Member States of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CPLP) will take place on October 22 and 23 at the CPLP headquarters in Lisbon (Palácio Conde de Penafiel, Rua de S. Mamede (ao Caldas), nº 21).

This event aims to promote cooperation and scientific advancement in the CPLP, as well as to establish common guidelines for more effective cooperation between science funding agencies and similar structures. It also aims to boost research, innovation and scientific development throughout the community.

FCT participates in this meeting in the panels entitled "Presentation of Funding Agencies / Trends and Challenges in Science Funding in the CPLP" and "Presentation of Success Stories: Programs and Projects Funded in the CPLP", as well as in the round tables "Best Practices in Funding Scientific Research" and "International Cooperation in Science Funding".

The Declaration of Commitments and Statutes of the Network of Science Funding Agencies and Similar Structures of the CPLP Member States (RAFIC) will also be signed on this occasion. FCT will be a signatory to this Declaration and will participate in the 1st Assembly of this Network.
