International

The FCT supports the internationalization of the national scientific and technological community through various actions, such as:

• Monitoring and representing Portugal in relevant EU and European Research Area R&I forums
• Representation of Portugal and monitoring of the scientific community's participation (relevant international S&T policy forums; international organizations and research infrastructures; multilateral programs and scientific networks)
• Negotiation and implementation of bilateral and multilateral agreements, instruments, and initiatives for international cooperation in R&I within Europe and beyond.
• Funding for R&I projects and researcher mobility within the scope of international agreements, partnerships, or networks in which the FCT participates.
