International

FCT supports the internationalization of the national scientific and technological community through various actions, such as:

• Accompanying and representing Portugal in relevant R&I forums in the EU and the European Research Area
• Representing Portugal and monitoring the participation of the scientific community (relevant international S&T policy forums; international organizations and research infrastructures; multilateral programmes and scientific networks)
• Negotiation and operationalization of bilateral and multilateral agreements, instruments and initiatives for international cooperation in R&I at European and extra-European level.
• Funding for R&I projects and the mobility of researchers under international agreements, partnerships or networks in which the FCT participates.
