Cooperation between Portugal and Brazil

The Foundation for Science and Technology has cooperation agreements with the following Brazilian scientific research support institutions with a view to strengthening scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.

• São Paulo Research Foundation – FAPESP
• Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support in the State of Rio de Janeiro – FAPERJ
• Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel – CAPES

The activities to be carried out under these agreements include funding for researcher exchange programs (FAPERJ and CAPES) and research and development projects (FAPESP).
