Cooperation between Portugal and Serbia

The economic, scientific and technological cooperation program between Portugal and Serbia was signed on October 18, 1977. It aims to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, while respecting the important role of international scientific and technological cooperation in the economic and social development of both.

The program is driven by the need to realize the development of mutual cooperation through the realization of joint research projects, exchange of researchers in order to improve studies, consultations and exchanges of ideas in the fields of science and technology, organization of scientific conferences, courses, seminars and symposia, and other convenient forms of cooperation in scientific and technological fields based on common interest.

The main areas of cooperation defined are:

  • Information technology;
  • Energy efficiency;
  • Agriculture and biotechnology;
  • Food production;
  • Water resource management;
  • Science and technology policies.
