COFASP

FCT is a partner of ERA-NET COFASP, since February 1, 2013, a project involving 26 partners from 15 countries (Denmark, Italy, Norway, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, France, Romania, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Finland and Belgium), and one European Institution, the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).

The COFASP network was created to directly accompany the actions planned in the field of fisheries, aquaculture and seafood processing. It was created under the KBBE theme in FP7, building on the successes and experiences gained from its previous projects MariFish (2006-2011) and SEAS-ERA(2010-2014), and is part of the Europe 2020 strategy, which recognizes the bio-economy as an important part of the strategy.
