FCCN 2026 Conference with open applications for community project submissions
Expressions of interest are now being accepted for participation in Community Zapping, which will be a highlight of the FCCN 2026 Conference. The challenge is open to the national higher education and research community to present innovative projects and initiatives on the main stage of the conference on the morning of May 6, in the Noble Hall of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP).
The format favors short, dynamic, and practical case-oriented presentations of approximately five minutes, promoting knowledge exchange and dialogue among peers. Presentations should be delivered in clear, accessible, and objective language. Applications are open until March 6, and can be submitted by filling out the form already available.
This session is one of the highlights of the FCCN Conference, providing a space for sharing success stories, projects, experiences, and best practices focused on the event's key areas—Connectivity, Computing, Collaboration, Knowledge, and Security—as well as other emerging topics and trends relevant to the national scientific and technological ecosystem.
This meeting is organized annually by FCCN, the digital services unit of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), and brings together experts, decision-makers, and users to discuss challenges, opportunities, and trends in the field of digital infrastructure supporting science, education, and knowledge.
In 2026, FCCN Days will take place from May 5 to 7, with the University of Porto as its main partner. Registration is still open and available through the registration platform.
