November 10th is World Science Day for Peace and Development. Celebrated annually and promoted by UNESCO, it aims to highlight the role of science in building a better world.

This year "Science for Global Understanding" was the theme chosen for reflection. This motto integrates UNESCO's approach to developing scientific cooperation between and within societies, combining sustainability on a global scale, with work and knowledge on a local scale.
