2020 Call for SR&TD Projects between Portugal and India

FCT opened today a call for submission of applications for joint projects of scientific research and technological development between Portugal and India. The deadline for the submission of proposals is July 31, 2020, 17h00 (Lisbon time).

This call, opened under the Memorandum ofUnderstanding signed between the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT I.P.) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST, India) in March 2019, aiming to support joint IC&DT projects in the following scientific fields: Biotechnology; Energy; Environment; Sustainable Infrastructure; Climate Change; Disaster Management; Marine Science and Technology.

This initiative aims to promote the development of scientific and technological cooperation between Indian and Portuguese researchers, developing scientific partnerships between research groups in both countries through the creation and strengthening of research networks, reinforcement of bilateral cooperation in science and technology, and the promotion ok knowledge transfer between Indian and Portuguese scientists.

The call will support projects for a maximum period of 36 months, with a maximum funding limit of EUR 100,000 for national teams. DST will provide the counterpart co-funding for teams from India.

All applications must be submitted in English through the FCT R&D Project Call Portal. The application form and support guide for completing the form will be available soon.
