The 4th Call for Individual Scientific Employment has opened

The 4th edition of the Call Encourage Individual Scientific Employment (CEEC Individual) is now open, and applications are open until February 26, 2021. 

The CEEC Individual is one of the two funding instruments for hiring researchers introduced by the FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law no. 57/2016, and which aims to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge. This 4th edition has 400 vacancies for contracts. The CEEC Individual is an annual Call that directly supports the hiring of doctoral researchers in all scientific areas who wish to carry out their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, at institutions that are part of the National Science and Technology System (SNCT).

The other funding instrument for hiring researchers introduced by the FCT is the Call Stimulate Institutional Scientific Employment (CEEC Institucional), for which applications will be open between February 17 and April 16. This will be the 2nd edition of the Institutional CEEC, which will have 300 vacancies for contracts. The Institutional CEEC is a biennial Call for institutions to support the development of R&D activities through the hiring of doctoral researchers, namely career researchers.

Together, the four editions of the CEEC Individual and the two editions of the CEEC Institutional total 2,200 vacancies for contracts with doctoral researchers. In both Calls, FCT finances contracts for up to 6 years.
