The 4th edition of Call Stimulus for Individual Scientific Employment has opened

The 4th edition of Call Estímulo ao Emprego Científico Individual (CEEC Individual) is now open. Applications are open until February 26, 2021. 

The Individual CEEC is one of the two funding instruments for hiring researchers introduced by FCT in 2017, following the publication of Decree-Law No. 57/2016, and which aims to stimulate scientific and technological employment in all areas of knowledge. This 4th edition has 400 vacancies for contracts. The CEEC Individual is an annual Call that directly supports the hiring of doctoral researchers, in all scientific areas, who intend to carry out their scientific research or technological development activities in Portugal, in the institutions that make up the National System of Science and Technology (SNCT).

The other funding instrument for hiring researchers introduced by FCT is the Call Stimulus to Institutional Scientific Employment (Institutional CEEC), whose applications will be open between February 17 and April 16. This will be the 2nd edition of the Institutional CEEC, which will have 300 vacancies for contracts. The Institutional CEEC is a biennial Call directed to institutions to support the development of R&D activities by hiring researchers with doctorates, namely in careers.

Altogether, the four editions of the CEEC Individual and the two editions of the CEEC Institutional total 2,200 openings for contracts with Ph. In both Calls, the FCT finances contracts of up to 6 years.
