Opened the Call for R&D Projects in All Scientific Domains 2022

Opened today, February 8th, Call for financing R&D Projects in All Scientific Domains – 2022 from FCT. The submission of applications will be open until March 10, 2022 and the acceptance of the Declaration of Commitment, by the Proposing Institutions, will be open until March 24, 2022. Applications must be submitted in English on the myFCT platform.
This Call It has a budget allocation of R$75 million and will support two types of projects: scientific research and technological development (IC&DT) projects, lasting 36 months and with maximum funding per project of R$250 thousand. The budget allocation for this type of project is R$55 million; and exploratory research projects (PeX), lasting 18 months and with maximum funding per project of R$50,000. The budget allocation for this type is R$20 million.
Non-business entities of the R&I System (research and innovation) and companies of any nature and under any legal form may apply, as long as they are involved in IC&DT projects (scientific research and technological development) led by non-business entities of the R&I System.
In the 2021 Call for R&D Projects in all Scientific Domains, 551 projects were selected for funding, of which 256 were IC&DT Projects and 305 PeX Projects.
THE Call of R&D Projects in All Scientific Domains of the FCT seeks to increase the national and international competitiveness of science and technology, as well as contribute to innovation and knowledge transfer, as well as to the realization of the global aspirations defined in the 2030 Agenda: Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
