Call for R&D Projects in All Scientific Fields 2022 opens

The FCT Call for Funding for R&D Projects in All Scientific Fields - 2022 opened today, February 8. Applications must be submitted by March 10, 2022 and the Declaration of Commitment must be accepted by the Proposing Institutions by March 24, 2022. Applications are submitted in English on the myFCT platform.
This Call has a budget of 75 million euros and will support two types of projects: scientific research and technological development projects (IC&DT), with a duration of 36 months and maximum funding per project of 250 thousand euros. The budget allocated to this type is 55 million euros; and exploratory research projects (PeX), with a duration of 18 months and maximum funding per project of 50 thousand euros. The budget allocated to this type of project is 20 million euros.
Non-business entities in the R&I system (research and innovation) and companies of any nature and in any legal form can apply, as long as they are part of IC&DT projects (scientific research and technological development) led by non-business entities in the R&I system.
In the 2021Call for R&D Projects in all Scientific Fields, 551 projects were selected for funding, of which 256 were IC&DT Projects and 305 PeX Projects.
FCT's Call for R&D Projects in All Scientific Domains seeks to increase the national and international competitiveness of science and technology, as well as to contribute to innovation and knowledge transfer, and to the realization of the global aspirations defined in the 2030 Agenda: United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
