CIÊNCIAVITAE celebrates one year

CIÊNCIAVITAE deserves congratulations, as do its users. Since September 2018, nearly 21,000 resumes have been created. On this first anniversary of the new resume management platform, we review some figures from the last 365 days and also look to the future.

The 20,807 users of the platform registered an average of 22,320 scientific articles, 4,112 projects, and 1,060 institutions per month.

Since the beginning of 2019, applicants for FCT funding have been able to choose to link their CIÊNCIAVITAE CV to their application. Since then, this link has been possible in seven Calls, with 34% of linked CVs being CIÊNCIAVITAE CVs.

The new curriculum management platform has been widely promoted through more than 59 presentation sessions. The CIÊNCIAVITAE team has been traveling around the country for a year, visiting various institutions to promote the platform in person. In addition to the 27 in-person sessions held in 13 cities, there have been 32 webinar sessions in Portuguese and English. These events have been well received by the community, with a rating of 4.5 on a scale of 1 to 5. There have been more than 1,300 participants from 111 institutions, and the number continues to grow.

CIÊNCIAVITAE is a unique, personalized, simple, harmonized, and structured curriculum vitae, hosted at http://cienciavitae.pt. It allows information about users, whether students, researchers, or institutions, which is currently scattered across multiple platforms such as FCT-SIG CV, DeGóis, RENATES, REBIDES, ORCID, and RCAAP, to be gathered on a single platform.

CIÊNCIAVITAE is developed by FCT based on the DeGóis platform, in conjunction with the PTCRIS technical and regulatory framework, and can be used by all national institutions in the field of science and higher education that choose to join.
