Call the Promove Program: Mobilizing R&D Projects
The deadline for submitting applications for Call Mobilizing R&D Projects under the Promove Program, launched under a partnership between FCT and the “la Caixa” Foundation, is October 4, 2020. This partnership, which began in 2018, involves collaboration between the two foundations with co-financing of projects in the area of health and society.
The Promove program, presented at a public session on June 17, includes three lines of financing and promotion of projects aimed at supporting and stimulating new research and innovation activities and positioning Portugal in the Iberian Peninsula and Europe. The Promove Program is specifically geared toward promoting Portugal's inland regions through research and innovation, with support for innovative initiatives in areas that are strategic for the development of these regions.
Projects competing for Call Mobilizing R&D Projects must be developed taking into account the following thematic areas: thermal waters as a natural resource with therapeutic applications; parks and nature reserves, as well as natural areas of environmental importance; studies on biological risks, including pests and diseases affecting agricultural and forestry crops; and the development, promotion, and enhancement of new crops and national products for the domestic and international markets.
