Call “Montesinho Natural Park” selected six projects for funding

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has announced the results of its evaluation Call Scientific Research and Technological Development (IC&DT) projects to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary R&D activities to be carried out in the Montesinho Natural Park region. Of the 60 applications submitted to Call, 6 were recommended for funding. The selected projects, which will last between 36 and 48 months, represent a total investment of €1.4 million. The Montesinho Natural Park, being the last mountain range in northeastern Portugal, provides ideal areas for monitoring and furthering the study of climate change, as well as developing mitigation measures and actions in a timely manner. With a view to promoting interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary R&D activities to be carried out in the Montesinho Natural Park, this Call project its future, developing new knowledge in various thematic areas, from a scientific and cultural multidisciplinary perspective.
