Call "Montesinho Natural Park" selected 6 projects for funding

The Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) has released the results of the evaluation of the Call of Scientific Research and Technological Development (IC&DT) projects for the promotion of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary R&D activities to be carried out in the region of the Natural Park of Montesinho. Of the 60 applications submitted to Call, 6 were recommended for funding. The set of selected projects, which will have a duration of 36 to 48 months, translate into a total investment of 1.4 million euros. The selected projects can be found here.

The Natural Park of Montesinho, being the last relief in the northeast of Portugal, facilitates privileged areas to monitor and deepen the study of climate change, as well as develop measures and mitigation actions in time. Having as a reference the promotion of R&D activities of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scope to be held in the Natural Park of Montesinho, with this Call we intend to make its projection into the future, developing new knowledge in various thematic areas, in a perspective of scientific and cultural multidisciplinarity.
