Calls Horizon Europe's "Key Digital Technologies" partnership

Horizon Europe's Key Digital Technologies (KDT) partnership, which continues the ECSEL JTI in the area of electronic components and systems (or ECS), is promoting two Calls with a Deadline for submitting applications of September 21, 2022.
This partnership is one of Horizon Europe's nine institutionalized partnerships, established between the European Commission, participating states and three private associations: AENEAS, Inside and EPoSS. KDT will support the digital transformation of all economic sectors in Europe by facilitating collaboration between industry and research centers. It operates in the field of electronic components and systems in different horizontal areas, such as: microprocessor production technologies; components, modules and systems integration; embedded software; edge-computing and artificial intelligence; connectivity; and quality, reliability and cybersecurity. It also includes application areas in the mobility, energy, health and well-being, agri-food and natural resources and digital society and industry sectors.
The two Calls presented in the 2022 work program cover general (or bottom-up) topics based on the technological areas defined in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda(ECS SRIA 2022) and also priority (or focus) topics in the following specific themes: Industrial supply chain for silicon photonics; Design of Customisable and Domain Specific Open-source RISC-V Processors; and Ecodesigned smart electronic systems supporting the Green Deal objectives.
The aim of these Calls is to select transnational projects that respond to the topics listed above, to be co-financed by the European Union and the KDT Participating States (including Portugal).
National co-financing is provided through the FCT and covers the two 2022 Calls up to a maximum of €2 million.
