Calls the Horizon Europe partnership “Key Digital Technologies”
The Key Digital Technologies (KDT) partnership of Horizon Europe, which continues the ECSEL JTI in the field of electronic components and systems (or ECS), is promoting two Calls Deadline submitting applications until September 21, 2022.
This partnership is one of nine institutionalized partnerships under Horizon Europe, established between the European Commission, participating states, and three private associations: AENEAS, Inside, and EPoSS. KDT will support the digital transformation of all economic sectors in Europe by facilitating collaboration between industry and research centers. It operates in the field of electronic components and systems in different horizontal areas, such as: microprocessor production technologies; components, modules, and systems integration; embedded software; edge computing and artificial intelligence; connectivity; and quality, reliability, and cybersecurity. It also includes areas of application in the mobility, energy, health and well-being, agri-food and natural resources sectors, as well as digital society and industry.
The two Calls in the 2022 work program cover general (or bottom-up) topics based on the technological areas defined in the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (ECS SRIA 2022) as well as priority topics (or focus topics) in the following specific areas: Industrial supply chain for silicon photonics; Design of Customizable and Domain Specific Open-source RISC-V Processors; and Ecodesigned smart electronic systems supporting the Green Deal objectives.
These Calls to select transnational projects that respond to the topics indicated above, to be co-financed by the European Union and the States participating in the KDT (including Portugal).
National co-funding is allocated through the FCT and covers the two Calls 2022 up to a maximum amount of €2 million.
