Calls for International Cooperation between Portugal and France
Applications for two international cooperation Calls between Portugal and France for joint research proposals are open until May 31.
One of the Calls is being held under the Pessoa Program, through the Portuguese-French Hubert Curien Program (PHC), managed in Portugal by FCT and in France by Campus France. The main aim of this Call is to foster scientific and technological exchanges of excellence between research laboratories in the two countries. In the last two editions, this program funded 14 projects in the 2019/2020 biennium and 15 in 2020/2021.
The other Call is the Cotutelas Pessoa Program, which seeks to support co-tutored doctoral programs developed in partnership between a Portuguese institution and a French institution, for the three-year period 2022/2024, and which covers all scientific areas.
These two programs are essentially aimed at funding the mobility of researchers participating in the projects. In the case of the Pessoa Program, each project will be funded with 2000 euros per year. In the Pessoa Cotutelas Program, the total amount allocated per project is €12,000, spread over 3 years (€2,000 per year for each of the countries).
All the information about these programs is available on the FCT website on the respective Calls pages: Pessoa Program and Pessoa Cotutelas Program.
