International Conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in cooperation with the Portuguese Republic, will hold the international conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks. The conference will take place on February 14, in the Auditorium of the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), in Algés.

This initiative is co-organized by the OECD, FCT, and the Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM). It will be chaired by the Minister for the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, and the Minister for Science, Technology, and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor. The event will see the launch of the publication Rethinking Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean Economy, coordinated by the OECD with the participation of the FCT and the DGPM.
