International Conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in cooperation with the Portuguese Republic, is holding the international conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks. The conference will take place on February 14 in the Auditorium of the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) in Algés.

This initiative is being organized jointly by the OECD, the FCT and the Directorate-General for Maritime Policy (DGPM). It will be chaired by the Minister for the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, and the Minister for Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor. The event will see the launch of the publication Rethinking Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean Economy, coordinated by the OECD and with the participation of FCT and DGPM.

The provisional program and practical information for attending the conference is now available. Participation is free and registration is compulsory, subject to the number of places available.
