International Conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), in cooperation with the Portuguese Republic, will hold the international conference Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Observatories and Knowledge Networks. The conference takes place on February 14, in the Auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), in Algés.

This initiative is a co-organization of the OECD with the FCT and the Directorate-General for Sea Policy (DGPM). It will be chaired by the Minister of the Sea, Ana Paula Vitorino, and by the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor. At the event will be launched the publication Rethinking Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean Economy, coordinated by OECD and with the participation of FCT and DGPM.

Participation is free of charge and registration is mandatory, subject to the number of available places.
