Bilateral cooperation between FCT and the German Academic Exchange Service

The FCT and the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) have opened applications for Call researcher exchanges within the scope of joint research projects for the 2023/2024 biennium. Proposals may be submitted until September 19, 2022.

This Call intended to finance the mobility of researchers participating in the projects, namely travel and accommodation expenses for the Portuguese team in Germany (the amount allocated for each project will be €2,000/year).

To date, 33 projects have been funded, and priority Call given in Call to new projects/new teams and to teams that have not received funding in recent Calls. Failure to include young researchers in the Portuguese team will result in disqualification, so it is mandatory to submit the work plan of the young researchers.

The FCT and DAAD will evaluate and select the projects to be funded, and applications that are not submitted to both organizations simultaneously will not be considered.
The awarding of the grant for the second year of the project is contingent upon the submission and approval of a technical/financial report, to be sent to the program coordinator by the end of November 2023.
